The date has been set for 2008!

We have again partnered with The Access Fund to put on the 3rd annual 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell on September 26-28th, 2008.  Hell is an endurance style climbing comp at the widely known Horseshoe Canyon Ranch near Jasper, Arkansas.  In the fall, teams of two will descend upon the Ranch to endure severe fatigue, dehydration, bloody fingertips and an unforgettable climbing experience.  These teams will have 24 continuous hours to put in as many clean climbs as humanly possible on the hundreds of sport and trad routes on the Ranch.  There is a point system for the various grades and all climbs must be put up on lead in clean style.  Night climbing is key, and will be allowed/encouraged.

Hell is a new concept to the world of climbing comps where the preference is typically power, strength and technique.  24HHH tests endurance, pain tolerance and mental stamina as you log continuous routes in a 24 Hour timeframe.

24HHH has grown drastically in the past two years since its inception.  Our first year started as a pipe dream and grew into 130 climbers, some cool swag and a write up in Rock and Ice.  2007 left us having to cut off registration numbers at 194, refusing would-be registrants due to fear of overcrowding.  We drew climbers from 17 different states including NY, MA, CA, OR, NV, CO and TN.  24HHH also brought in representatives to cover the event from SKRAM Media, Climbing Magazine and The Access Fund.  Upon returning from the event, Keven Riley from SKRAM wrote in an email, "All I can say is you have an amazing event.  Definitely in the running for the most energetic in the country.  I had a blast and can't wait for next year."  We have big dreams for 2008!

Proceeds go to www.accessfund.org
Registration is $40 per person

Hell will begin at 10 am on Saturday this year to allow more recovery time after the event ends on Sunday.
